Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee student events, retreats, and Bible study sessions.
• Train students to become faith-filled future leaders and build community partnerships.
• Support parents and coordinate with church staff on faith education needs.

Student Pastor

Our church is praying for a new Student Pastor. Our church is healthy with an attendance of 550 and core of students of around 50. We are asking God for a man with an engaging personality; a team player; a dynamic communicator of Biblical truth to students who wants to be a part of a church that is seeking to impact our community with the gospel. Principal Function

The roll of the Student Pastor is to lead a growing Student Ministry, providing Christ-centered enthusiastic leadership to recruit, support, and maintain participation of students. The Student Pastor will collaborate with the Pastor and Ministry teams to provide leadership to recruit, train, and support volunteers. The Student Pastor is responsible for guiding students in their understanding of themselves and their faith. His duties include organizing student events or retreats to encourage community building, teaching LifeGroups, and other educational programs, and communicating with church staff about faith educational needs. He will also work in partnership with other church ministries on events to further the gospel.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills accompanied by a positive attitude with the student and young adults in the church.
• Ability to deal with and relate to young people by earning their respect and trust.

Responsibilities

• Function as the spiritual leader of Hill Crest Baptist Church’s Student Program, encompassing grades seven (7) thru twelve (12).
• Provide Bible-based instruction along with appropriate teaching materials and curriculum.
• Provide counseling to students and help them realize their individual goals.
• Administer and plan numerous student programs like evangelism, retreats, camp and Bible study sessions.
• Train students on how to be future faith-filled leaders and set up programs to facilitate spiritual growth.Develop and maintain effective relationships with various leaders in the community for purposes of swift outreach programs.
• Provide support and guidance to parents.
• Prepare monthly/annual budgets.
• Attend and contribute to staff and church meetings.
• Willingness to attend student functions at schools.
• Incorporate students into various church ministries.
• Build relationships with the local schools.
• Provide counsel and support to students and their families experiencing sickness, grief, or distress.

Hours

This is a full‑time position (40) hour, Monday through Thursday, as well as fulfilling the requirements of the job during regular, ongoing services.
