Job summary

  • Basic Life Support - BLS, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Performs unit support duties/activities.
  • Maintains commitment to individual growth and development by: a. Recognizing own skill level and asking for assistance when necessary; b. Participating in special projects, and/or in-services.
  • Complies with safety, infection control, Dignity Health Integrity Program, and other organizational policies.
  • Attends work consistently, as defined by the Attendance and Timeliness Policy.
  • Demonstrates good time management and priority setting.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Student Nurse, you will make the pivotal transition from student to professional nurse, building trust with your clinical preceptor and patients as you apply classroom concepts in a real-time, supportive environment. Our comprehensive residency program is designed to establish you as a reliable resource and helpful supporter for patients and families.

Every day you will practice essential nursing skills, collaborate with experienced healthcare professionals, and contribute to patient care plans, actively applying your foundational knowledge in a dynamic clinical setting.

  • Performs unit support duties/activities.
    • Maintains commitment to individual growth and development by: a. Recognizing own skill level and asking for assistance when necessary; b. Participating in special projects, and/or in-services.
    • Consistently demonstrates good communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Maintains a professional and safe work environment.
    • Works on projects or tasks as defined by the preceptor/manager of department.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.
  • Compliance with policy and procedures
    • Complies with safety, infection control, Dignity Health Integrity Program, and other organizational policies (90-day evals-department specific orientation checklists completed; annual evals - annual competency checklists completed).
    • Complies with the organization's dress code
    • Arrives at work on time, as defined by the Attendance and Timeliness Policy

  • Other Staff Responsibilities
