Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Student Nurse Technician (SNT) to gain hands-on clinical experience while functioning mainly in a Patient Care Technician capacity.

Enrollment in an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program is required, with at least one semester of fundamentals and a medical-surgical clinical component completed. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling and hands-on learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program is required.
• Completion of at least one semester of fundamentals with a medical-surgical clinical component is required.
• PRN position with flexible scheduling is available.
• Basic clinical nursing knowledge and willingness to learn in a patient care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurse with patient and family education and document care using medical terminology.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are available to meet patient needs.
• Perform direct patient care under supervision of the nursing team.
• Collect clinical data and report abnormal findings to the nurse.
• Instruct patients in preparations for tests and procedures.
