Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed the first clinical rotation.
• Healthcare student status with clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, educate, prioritize, delegation and evaluate a designated group of patients under supervision.
• Manage personal supplies and unit equipment.
• Promote teamwork with the healthcare team on the unit.

Position Summary:

Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, performs the primary function of a Student Nurse Technician in assessing, planning, implementing, educating, prioritization, delegation and evaluating a designated group of patients in accordance with all established Nursing Standards and Hospital Policies. Is responsible for managing all assigned personal supplies, equipment on the unit, and for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in accredited nursing program and completed first clinical rotation.
