Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO, seeks a Student Nurse Technician under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist with patient assessment, planning, implementation, education, prioritization, delegation and evaluation across a designated group of patients.

Promotes teamwork, manages supplies and equipment, and adheres to hospital policies and nursing standards while embracing the mission and values of St. Luke’s.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled in accredited nursing program and completed first clinical rotation.
• Currently enrolled in accredited nursing program and completed first clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, educate, prioritize, delegate and evaluate a designated group of patients underRN supervision.
• Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.
• Manage assigned personal supplies and unit equipment, ensuring readiness and safety.

Position Summary

Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, performs the primary function of a Student Nurse Technician in assessing, planning, implementing, educating, prioritization, delegation and evaluating a designated group of patients in accordance with all established Nursing Standards and Hospital Policies. Is responsible for managing all assigned personal supplies, equipment on the unit, and for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements

Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in accredited nursing program and completed first clinical rotation .
