The nurse intern position prepares student nurses for the registered nurse (RN) role prior to graduating from an accredited nursing program and obtaining nursing licensure. This position is intended as a supplement to school clinical experiences. Nurse interns provide direct and indirect care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of an RN and in alignment with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
