Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Student Nurse for St. Luke’s Health–Brazosport Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX. You will deliver supervised direct patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with hygiene and daily tasks, and document clinical activity while following safety protocols.

You must be enrolled in nursing school with at least one clinical rotation completed and hold BLS/CPR certification. The role supports quality improvement and safe, delegated tasks in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required upon hire.
• Must be enrolled and attending nursing school with proof, and have completed at least one clinical rotation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff.
• Monitors and records vital signs.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Student Nurse, you will provide vital, supervised patient care and support across diverse medical/surgical populations, leveraging your nursing education within a clinical setting. Every day you will deliver direct patient care, including personal hygiene and comfort, meticulously monitoring and documenting clinical activities, and ensuring a safe, organized environment through supply management and strict adherence to safety protocols. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate compassion, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safe, compliant care while actively participating in quality improvement and accurately implementing delegated patient tasks.

• Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff

Pay Range

$17.50 - $17.50 /hour
