Atrium Health in Monroe, NC is seeking a Nurse Aide I/II to support patients with daily living activities and basic clinical tasks. You will assist with hygiene, meals, mobility, and room care, while maintaining safety and reporting changes to the team.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, handling clerical duties, and performing routine tasks such as venipuncture and 12-lead EKG under supervision. Requires compliance with Nurse Aide registry and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RN academic program in good standing required.
• Junior year completion of Nurse Extern program required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry prior to start date required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Physical Requirements: Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stretching, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms. Must have manual and finger dexterity. Physical abilities testing required.

Education, Experience And Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Currently in good standing in Registered Nurse

academic program required. Successful completion of Junior year or equivalent at the

time of the Nurse Extern program required. Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide

Registry as a Nurse Aide I and Nurse Aide II prior to start date required. Current Basic

Cardiac Life Support certification required.

Behavioral Health Externs: High School Diploma or GED required. Currently in good standing in Registered Nurse

academic program required. Successful completion of Junior year or equivalent at the

time of the Nurse Extern program required. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
