Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Student Nurse Aide to support the RN/LPN in providing direct patient care under supervision. The role requires compassion for diverse patient populations, strong prioritization, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with admission, transport, education, and basic nursing tasks within your scope, including documentation and responding to emergencies. BLS certification is required before orientation finishes.

Qualifications

• Completed a minimum of high school education or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and in good standing.
• Nursing coursework in Fundamentals of Nursing and Pharmacology; NCLEX eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and select advanced nursing care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
• Document care according to current standards and policies.
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies; manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
