Five Points Nursing and Rehabilitation in Amarillo, TX, is seeking a Student Nurse Aide to gain real-world experience in long-term care while delivering quality resident care. You will assist with personal care, transfers, and daily tasks under supervision, maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes reliability, collaboration with nursing staff, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Has written proof of completion of 16-hour ADL training from an authorized school/instructor.
• Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Shows excellent self-discipline, patience, and a passion for serving others.
• Can follow safety policies and procedures.
• Has basic computer literacy and can follow documentation protocols.
• Respects and adheres to the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal care to residents (e.g., grooming, bathing, peri care, dressing) under supervision and within your training scope.
• Change bed linens and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
• Routinely reposition residents and monitor skin integrity.
• Support nursing staff by completing non-nursing tasks such as making beds, passing water/ice, answering call lights, and organizing supplies.
• Assist with range of motion exercises and engage in reality orientation with residents.
• Identify and report any condition that requires management attention.
