Mission City Church exists to engage people where they are with the gospel of Jesus Christ and lead them into lives of transformation, and we believe the next generation is essential to that mission. We’re seeking a Student Minister who is passionate about Jesus, deeply invested in students, and thrives on building meaningful relationships with students, parents, volunteers, and partners in the community.

As part of the Student Ministry team at a Mission City Church campus, the Student Minister provides leadership, ministry oversight, and strategic direction to ensure effective discipleship and engagement of middle school and high school students in alignment with Mission City Church’s vision and values.

Core Responsibilities

• Programming & Environment Leadership
  • Lead and execute engaging weekly Student Ministry environments and special events with excellence.
  • Ensure all ministry environments are prepared, organized, and aligned with Mission City Church strategies.
  • Collaborate with Campus Staff and Global Leadership to create consistent, high-quality ministry experiences.
  • Champion the vision and culture of Student Ministry within all gatherings.
• Discipleship & Student Engagement
  • Develop and implement clear discipleship pathways for middle school and high school students.
  • Build consistent, intentional relationships with students both within and outside of ministry environments.
  • Encourage students to take next steps in their faith through groups, serving, and outreach.
  • Help students grow as disciples who live out their faith in everyday life.
• Outreach & Ministry Opportunities
  • Champion outreach efforts to reach new students through schools and community connections.
  • Build partnerships with local schools, organizations, and community leaders.
  • Create environments and opportunities that invite new students into the ministry.
• Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, train, and develop volunteer leaders to serve with excellence.
  • Invest in leaders through coaching, encouragement, and leadership development.
  • Partner with Campus Staff, Student Ministry teams, and Global Leadership to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Contribute to a healthy, unified, and mission-focused team culture.
• Events & Ministry Execution
  • Lead and support the planning and execution of student events, camps, and key ministry moments.
  • Ensure clear communication and organization around events, timelines, and expectations.
  • Participate in campus and church-wide initiatives and gatherings.
• Communication & Relationships
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with students, parents, and leaders.
  • Provide clear and timely communication regarding ministry opportunities and next steps.
  • Support and equip parents as partners in their student’s spiritual growth.
• Systems, Policies & Alignment
  • Ensure consistent execution of Mission City Church policies and procedures.
  • Operate within established systems, processes, and ministry strategies.
  • Maintain alignment with Campus Leadership and Global Student Ministry direction.
  • Be an active and engaged participant in church life, staff rhythms, and weekend services.
