Job summary

Kumon of Tampa-Palma Ceia is seeking an enthusiastic Kumon Assistant to help students unlock their full academic potential through math-focused activities and guided self-learning. This role emphasizes accurate grading, progress monitoring, and maintaining a welcoming classroom environment.

You will work with students of varying skill levels, providing encouragement and feedback while supporting the center instructor in daily operations. A patient, reliable presence is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong math background through high school level coursework.
• Ability to grade worksheets accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with Kumon math worksheets and guide them through self-learning exercises
• Grade completed student worksheets accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor student progress and provide encouragement and positive reinforcement
• Support the center instructor in managing daily center operations
• Communicate student performance observations to the lead instructor
• Maintain an organized, focused, and welcoming classroom environment
• Help students develop independent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
