Job summary

Colorado Mesa University is seeking a Student Marketing & Communications Generalist to support writing, social media, website management and event support. You will work with the Marketing and Communications team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role provides hands-on experience across multiple marketing areas and opportunities to develop content, manage digital signage, assist with campaigns and gain professional skills while balancing student responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with writing, editing and proofreading content for university communications, marketing materials and digital platforms.
• Brainstorm social media content ideas, assist with content creation and support social media campaigns.
• Update and maintain website content to ensure information is accurate, current and consistent with university branding.
• Assist with collaboration for strategizing, scheduling and managing content for digital screens across campus.
• Support university events, including preparation, setup, breakdown and promotional activities.
• Help coordinate marketing materials, pick up and deliver supplies and assist with other logistical needs.
• Provide general administrative and project support to the Marketing and Communications team.
• Collaborate with team members on special projects and assist with other responsibilities as needed.

Working with the Marketing and Communications team, the student will gain hands-on experience in writing, social media, website management, event support and day-to-day marketing operations.
