Job summary

Middle Georgia State University Cochran Campus is seeking a dedicated student to serve as a Student Manager for the Women’s Basketball program. This part-time Federal Work Study role supports daily operations, practice setup, equipment management, and laundry-related tasks to uphold program standards.

The position offers involvement in game-day operations, film duties, and community engagement while working with coaches and players in a collegiate athletic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 2.0 and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
• 19 maximum work hours per week.
• Student must be enrolled MGA student eligible for Federal Work Study.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Punctual and able to manage time effectively.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate well with coaches and players.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a high-level college athletic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily team operations including setup and breakdown for practices and games.
• Manage and maintain team equipment, uniforms, and practice gear.
• Record and organize practice or game film when needed.
• Support coaches during practice with drills, clock management, and player needs.
• Assist with home game operations such as bench setup, water, and stat coordination.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional locker room and team facility.
• Participate in community service and campus engagement initiatives with the program.
• Handle administrative or logistical tasks as assigned (laundry, errands, etc.).
• Serve as a positive ambassador for the Women¿s Basketball Program and MGA Athletics.
