Job summary

Magna Seating is seeking a motivated student for a seasonal role to support engineering and manufacturing activities. You will develop and maintain tracking spreadsheets, perform routine administrative tasks, and observe production processes to gain hands-on experience in a global automotive setting.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering program, possess strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, and are proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Currently enrolled in an Engineering program or related field.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Team oriented; able to interact with people at all levels.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.

Responsibilities

• Summer project: develop and maintain an Excel spreadsheet that tracks day-to-day Engineering activities.
• Performs administration duties including filing, copying, and scanning.
• Observes manufacturing processes and equipment design.
• Accounting work to include filling out forms with part numbers and their costs.
• Evaluates production and equipment problems and informs management for improvements.
• Generate electronic Engineering tracking matrices.

Job Responsibilities:
