Job summary

Stanley Consultants, an award‑winning global engineering firm, seeks a Control Systems Student Intern to join the Denver, CO office onsite. You will work with engineers on projects from power plants to municipal water systems, developing understanding of control/instrumentation tasks and creating P&IDs, I/O lists, and specifications.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in ABET‑accredited BSEE/BSME programs, are juniors or seniors, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET‑accredited BSEE or BSME program.
• Junior or Senior pursuing BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of control and instrumentation tasks for Stanley projects.
• Assist with creating and checking P&IDs, I/O lists, data sheets, wiring and termination drawings, instrument indices, and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers on multiple projects including power plants, industrial automation, microgrids, and water systems.

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Control Systems Student Intern to join our Denver, CO office.

What You Will Be Doing:

Student will develop an understanding ofcontrol and instrumentation tasks for a typical Stanley project. Typical projects include power plants, industrial automation systems, microgrids, municipal water management systems, combined heat and power (CHP) systems for universities and campuses. Student will work with engineers on a variety of projects, creating and checking documents such as Piping & Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), Input/Output (I/O) lists, data sheets, wiring and termination dwgs, instrument indices, and specifications.

• Enrolled in BSEE or BSME Degree Program at an ABET accredited University
• Must be a Junior or Senior working towards a BS inElectrical or Mechanical Engineering
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work legally in the United States for an unlimited time without requiring sponsorship
