Hair Cuttery Family of Brands in Silver Spring, MD is launching the FuturePRO Student to Work program for cosmetology students ready to train while earning. The 90-Day mentorship and on-the-job guidance help you transition from student to professional, with hands-on practice and a clear path to licensing.

As a hairstylist student, you will support guest experiences, build your craft under a salon leader, and work toward earning a competitive income once licensed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in beauty school and ready to transition to a professional career.
• Must have flexibility for night, weekend, and holiday learning opportunities.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

Responsibilities

• Support the Guest Experience: work the reception area and assist guest-related actions.
• Develop Your Craft: participate in a training plan with your Salon Leader.
• Professional Partnership: pair with a licensed pro for guest consultations.
• Observe & Learn: watch salon professionals and ask questions to sharpen skills.
• Business Building: learn product knowledge, consultations, and client development.

In The Salon, You Will

As a hairstylist student, you will be an integral part of the salon flow:

• Support the Guest Experience: Work the reception area and support all actions that influence the guest experience.
• Develop Your Craft: Participate in a training plan developed with your Salon Leader (SL).
• Professional Partnership: Partner with a licensed pro to perform consultations on select guests.
• Observe & Learn: Watch Salon Professionals as they work and ask questions to sharpen your skills.
• Business Building: Receive training on professional product knowledge, consultation skills, and how to build a strong clientele.
