Job summary

Raritan Valley Community College seeks a Student & Faculty Data Coordinator for the Returning & Incarcerated Student Education (RISE) Department. The role focuses on data management, records maintenance, and using data to guide RISE course offerings and program effectiveness.

The position requires DOC clearance, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 3 years of higher education experience, with strong ethics, FERPA knowledge, and MS Office proficiency. Evening and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years of higher education related experience.
• Demonstrated ethics and highly developed judgment.
• Strong understanding of FERPA student privacy.
• Significant experience with Microsoft Office.
• In-depth knowledge of liberal arts degree requirements.
• Outstanding organization and leadership abilities.
• Experience working inside NJDOC facilities.
• Potential to obtain full DOC clearance.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all student and faculty data and maintain records.
• Manage student data: enrollment, placement test results, progress, and graduation data.
• Administer the faculty online database, including clearances and training materials.
• Maintain DOC clearance to meet with incarcerated students.
• Guide course offerings based on student needs across facilities.
• Identify problem areas and develop reports for the RISE program.
• Conduct admissions, enrollment processing, and final grades in Banner.
• Prepare degree audits and distribute transcripts to students.
• Coordinate degree planning, progression, transfers, and graduation with the RISE Director.
• Coordinate Add/Drop and Withdrawal processes and NJ-STEP counselor requests.
