Job summary

Compass Group USA's Chartwells K-12 is hiring a Marketing Intern in Wellington, Kansas. You will collaborate with on-site operations, culinary and nutrition teams to execute student experience programs, focusing on cafeteria decor, signage, merchandising and student engagement.

This paid internship requires a current marketing student (2nd or 3rd year) with knowledge of food service and marketing, strong writing, and the ability to present to large groups.

Qualifications

• 2nd or 3rd year marketing student.
• Marketing experience preferred.
• Ability to present to large groups.
• Knowledge of merchandising and promotions.
• Excellent writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute marketing programs in partnership with operators and regional support teams to ensure continued engagement from student, clients and communities
• Train and support operators in the implementation of student-facing and front-of-house programs, systems, and processes
• Customize marketing materials – e.g. social media posts, flyers, brochures and client presentations – and coordinate with district communications teams to execute
• Conduct focus groups to understand what students and parents are looking for in the school meal program and identify areas for improvement
• Assess the front-of-house operations for the student experience, operating standards, and signature programs being in place, and work with operators to monitor results and improve over time
• Collect data and report on return on investment and key performance metrics
