Savannah College of Art and Design seeks a student engagement content specialist to showcase SCAD student life across social channels. You will develop calendars, collaborate with departments, measure impact, and produce vertical videos and graphics for SCAD platforms.

You will recruit student influencers, manage weekly graphics for student success initiatives, and contribute to events and projects across campuses in Atlanta and Savannah.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience shooting/editing short-form social content (TikTok/IG Reels/YouTube Shorts).
• Ability to work with multiple teams and manage content calendars.

As a student engagement content specialist, you will focus on showcasing SCAD student life, clubs, resources, and additional opportunities on social media to drive student engagement. In collaboration with the social media and student success teams, you’ll play a crucial role in expanding SCAD's digital footprint across the university’s social media channels.

In support of the marketing and public relations team, you will:

• Develop and manage a calendar focused on student-experience content for Atlanta and Savannah
• Collaborate with internal departments to develop initiatives that enhance student involvement and social media interactions
• Evaluate communication initiatives using metrics and positive sentiment and create reports about coverage and posts
• Follow the social media team’s content approval, editorial processes, and content guidelines
• Create pre-promotional graphics and produce, shoot, and edit vertical videos for SCAD social media channels

As an engagement specialist, you’ll:

• Create content for student success initiatives, student-forward events, and resources
• Maintain a consistent posting cadence
• Identify, recruit, and collaborate with student influencers to produce authentic, impactful content that showcases the SCAD experience
• Pitch, build, and maintain relationships with student clubs and organizations to feature their activities and achievements on social media platforms
• Partner with the social media team to manage weekly graphics for student success initiatives
• Participate in and manage special projects and events

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience shooting and editing short-form, algorithm-friendly content for social media platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts)

Preferred qualifications:

• SCAD experience
• Background in graphic design

Travel required:

• Less than 10%

Work hours:

The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
