Salt Lake Community College is seeking a student employee to help maintain the language center's daily operations. The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to interact with a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff.

Candidates must be a current SLCC student, enrolled in 6 credits for fall and spring, and eligible for Federal Work Study funds, with FAFSA completed.

Qualifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Good communication skills, basic computer knowledge Civility and urbanity are essential attributes of the incumbent.Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• SLCC student
• GPA 2.0 or higher
• Currently enrolled in 6 credit hours for fall semester.
• Currently enrolled in 6 credit hours for spring semester.
• Awarded Federal Work Study program
• Completed the FAFSA.

Preferred Qualifications

Front desk experience, good computer skills, understand one foreign language and culture.
