Job summary

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking a student worker to assist in the Communications department with marketing content and social media tasks. You will help with data tracking, content sharing coordination on YouTube, and editing/transcribing content as needed.

The role is hourly, non-exempt, and on campus, averaging about 15 hours per week. Eligibility for Federal Work Study via FAFSA is required, along with strong communication and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

  • MUST BE CURRENT STUDENT OF MBTS OR SPURGEON COLLEGE, AND MUST QUALIFY FOR THE FEDERAL WORK STUDY PROGRAM VIA FAFSA.
  • Christian with high integrity and a growing relationship with God.
  • High School diploma or the equivalent.
  • Videography or photography experience a plus, but not required.
  • Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize for department needs.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • MUST pass background screening and be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data tracking of marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate content sharing on YouTube for MBTS & Spurgeon College.
  • Edit and transcribe articles and content as needed.
  • Assist with social media coverage as needed.
  • Work closely with the marketing team.
