The University of Kansas Lawrence Campus is seeking a Creative Communications Assistant to support the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences with social media, digital and print communications. You'll help plan, write, and post engaging content across platforms and assist with campaigns that resonate with current and prospective students.

The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is seeking a creative, organized individual to help tell the story of the College through our social media platforms and other digital and print channels.
As a Communications Assistant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day creation, posting, and planning of social media campaigns and activities.
You will help strengthen engagement with current and prospective students, connect with key campus audiences, and support the College's overall marketing and communications strategy.
You will also play an important creative role by developing ideas for fun, engaging social media campaigns that resonate with fellow students.
This fast-paced position involves a mix of writing social media content and short blog posts, as well as capturing photographs and video on the fly.
Working as part of the communications team, you will collaborate closely with the Assistant Director of Communications and the Director of Communications and Marketing. In return, you'll gain hands-on, marketable experience in a dynamic marketing and communications office while playing a creative role in promoting the University of Kansas.

During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
