Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Student Campus Ambassador to promote the brand on campus and serve as the face of Spectrum among students, faculty and alumni. You will lead event coordination, promotional activities and engagement across university networks, helping to grow Spectrum's campus presence.

You will collaborate with campus services and internal teams, travel to local development events, and provide insights on student interests to shape future campus outreach efforts.

Qualifications

• Must be a Junior enrolled at University of North Carolina A&T and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, or Marketing.
• Must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher in current program.
• Must be able to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in career fairs and campus networking events.
• Promote Spectrum events on social media with approved content (Instagram, LinkedIn).
• Engage with students, ambassadors, employees, and student organizations on campus.
• Collect event feedback and report to improve Spectrum campus strategies.

Job description

Event Coordination

• Organize and participate in career fairs and networking events.
• Coordinate tabling and lobby days by collaborating with campus career services.

Promotion and Marketing

• Use social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn) to promote events with approved content.
• Collaborate on content creation for marketing approval.

Engagement

• Lead and participate in campus events, ensuring a strong Spectrum presence.
• Engage with potential ambassadors, employees, and student organizations.

Feedback and Reporting

• Collect and report event feedback to improve Spectrum’s campus strategies.
• Provide insights on campus trends and student interests

Required qualifications

• Must be a Junior currently enrolled University of North Carolina A&T and completing a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, or Marketing
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred qualifications

• Demonstrated desire to provide high level of customer service to candidates and internal clients
• Proven ability to build internal and external relationships
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
• Strong time management, communication and organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Prior experience supporting early talent programs
