Job summary

GOLDSTAR TRANSIT is seeking a professional bus driver to operate a designated route, ensuring on-time arrivals and safe student transport. You will conduct pre/post-trip checks, maintain order, and follow all district and company policies.

Responsibilities include pupil and teacher transport on trips, safety instruction, evacuation drills, log reports, refueling, and reporting any vehicle deficiencies. A valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• State-Required CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements.
• Current Driver Physical Examination on file.
• Ability to safely operate assigned vehicles under all road and weather conditions.
• Demonstrated driving proficiency and safe operating practices.
• Good driving record and ability to pass background checks.
• Minimum age 21 with at least 3 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive a bus daily over designated routes on time per schedules.
• Transport school pupils and teachers on trips.
• Perform pre- and post-trip safety inspections.
• Maintain order among pupils or clients.
• Report route changes and timing data to supervisor.
• Sweep, clean and refuel buses.
• Report any mechanical deficiencies in writing.
• Instruct students on safe riding and conduct evacuation drills.
