Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks an In-School Suspension Aide to supervise students during the school day, support teachers, and help maintain a safe, orderly learning environment on campus.

Required qualifications include Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate or equivalent, a High School Diploma or GED, and strong communication skills; experience with children is preferred. The role reports to the campus principal and supports behavior management and records keeping.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom.
• Oversee and provide instructional assistance to individual students as directed by teachers.
• Keep teachers/administrators informed of any special needs, problems, and progress of individual students.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Keep administrative records and prepare reports as required.
• Participate in staff development, faculty meetings, and events as required.
