Job summary

University of South Florida is seeking a Learning Specialist to provide targeted academic support for student-athletes, with emphasis on those facing learning challenges. Qualifications

  • Requires a Master's degree in education or a related field, or a Bachelor's with at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Degree equivalency allows four years of direct experience for a Bachelor's degree.
  • SB 1310: substitution of work experience for education requirements.
  • Awareness of NCAA/AAC policies and compliance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized academic support through one-on-one and small group sessions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor academic plans with progress reports.
  • Design learning strategies and coordinate BullsLearn programs and workshops.
  • Assist in intake and screening, interpret assessments, and coordinate referrals.
  • Collaborate with staff and coaches to support student-athletes and ensure NCAA/AAC compliance.
