Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh Career Center is seeking a Career Consultant for Student-Athletes to provide personalized career planning and graduate school preparation for Pitt student-athletes and alumni. The role includes office hours at the Career Center and life-skills programming, with hybrid work arrangements and collaboration across campus.

Responsibilities cover individual coaching, workshops, resource development, and building relationships with faculty and advisors to support student

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years’ experience in career advising, cooperative education, recruitment/employment, student affairs, guidance, or life skills education is assets.
• Knowledge of NCAA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel student-athletes through individual appointments and drop-ins.
• Design and deliver career development workshops and programs.
• Develop job-search resources and guides for students and alumni.
• Engage with residence halls, student organizations and campus partners.
• Build relationships with faculty and academic advisors to support student growth.
