University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a professional to provide counseling and advising to student-athletes regarding majors, career planning, and academic progress. The role supports the Student-Athlete Support Services Center and assists with orientation, eligibility evaluations, and report preparation.
The position requires a Master’s degree in Counseling, Education or a related field and at least one year of related experience.
To provide counseling and advising to student-athletes on major and career planning, and to maintain accurate and timely information on academic progress. To assist in coordinating student-athletes orientation and to perform eligibility evaluations. To serve on campus committees and complete projects as assigned. To prepare various reports including graduation plans, weekly academic progress reports, end of semester grade reports and certification reports. To establish and maintain relationships with all student-athletes, coaches and faculty.
(Salary: $43,890 - $$48,528)
Master's degree in Counseling, Education or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
