Job summary

CCV is seeking a 3-year grant-funded Navigator to support incarcerated Vermonters and staff through the full arc of education and re‑entry, including post‑release transition and continued enrollment in postsecondary education.

The role involves advising, career exploration, and coordination with corrections, social services, and workforce partners to align pathways with job opportunities. Travel to facilities across Vermont is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in education, student services, counseling, corrections, or a related field; direct experience with Vermont’s correction system valued.
• Strong planning, prioritizing, and project management skills; attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Advise students from admissions through graduation or credential completion.
• Assist students in navigating university policies and culture.
• Help students explore career pathways and connect with financial aid, career counseling, and learning centers.
• Develop education plans, conduct degree audits, and track progress toward degree/credential completion.
