Job summary

The La Mesa-Spring Valley School District is seeking a Campus Attendant to supervise the playground and lunch areas at our middle schools. Under the Principal's direction, you will organize activities, reinforce courtesies, and help maintain a safe, clean learning environment for students.

Current vacancy hours are 7.0 hours/day, Monday through Friday, August through June. This merit system district requires testing for eligibility and notifies candidates by email if they pass the merit exam

Qualifications

• Paid or volunteer experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assists students to organize and find appropriate activities for a positive learning environment.
• Encourages students to observe courtesies and promotes student development.
• Implements school discipline policy with appropriate follow-up.
• Monitors students to ensure safety and a positive learning environment.
• Organizes age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities.
• Oversees student movement on campus and ensures safety.
