Job summary

Empire Airlines is seeking a Structures Technician to maintain our aircraft in airworthy condition in accordance with the company’s maintenance manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations. This position requires a hands-on approach, strict safety adherence, and precise documentation.

The role involves performing work per forms, maintaining a clean, orderly work area, and supporting the maintenance program. Candidates must hold an Airframes certificate and have two years of heavy-check repair

Qualifications

  • Airframes certificate required.
  • Two years of commercial/military heavy-check structural repair experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and a valid driver’s license required.
  • Must adhere to FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol Program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work on aircraft and components per work forms and Empire Airlines’ maintenance program.
  • Maintain work area and complete records and paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Ensure aircraft remain in safe and airworthy condition per maintenance manual and FAA regulations.
  • Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and promote Empire Airlines’ mission.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Overview

The Structures Technician will maintain the company’s aircraft in a safe and airworthy condition in accordance with the company’s maintenance manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform work on aircraft and components as outlined on corresponding work forms, and in accordance with the manufacturer’s Maintenance Manual and Empire Airlines’ approved maintenance program.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition; complete all records and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the company’s aircraft in a safe and airworthy condition according to the company maintenance manual and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Serve as a role model for ethical behavior, maintain a professional and dignified work environment, and promote and support the mission of Empire Airlines.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • An Airframes certificate is required.
  • Two years of commercial/military heavy-check structural repair experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and a valid driver’s license with an insurable record through Empire’s policy are required.
  • Must adhere to the company’s FAA/DOT required Drug and Alcohol Program.
Working Conditions
  • Work may be performed in a hangar environment, requiring considerable outside work and up to 25% travel.
  • Will be exposed to noise and hazards associated with aircraft maintenance.
  • Requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, and stooping for extended periods.
  • May be required to lift up to 80 pounds, plus ladder/lift usage.
  • The position requires manual dexterity and speaking, seeing, and hearing to conduct business.

Pay & Benefits
  • Starting hourly base pay range (DOE): $27.70-$32.40
  • Qualifying hourly pay incentives: $1 A&P license
  • Expected starting hourly total: $28.70 to $33.40
  • Annual increases and additional incentives once qualified.
