Job summary

Creighton Manning, a GAI Company, seeks a Junior Engineer (0-2 years) to join our Structures Group and contribute to bridge and structural projects under supervision of a licensed PE. You will perform analyses, drawings, and field observations, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the team.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Engineering, ABET/EAC accreditation, and optional EIT certification. Proficiency with Microstation, AASHTOWare, and MathCAD is a plus.

• EIT certification preferred
• Proficiency with Microstation, AASHTOWare, MathCAD and other structural engineering software a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team to solve structural design problems for bridges, culverts, and other transportation infrastructure projects
• Attend project meetings with internal project teams and external clients
• Conduct assessments and inspections of bridges, culverts, and other project components
• Perform computations for structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other structural components
• Design and layout of project components in 2D and 3D
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Field observation of construction for adherence to construction plans and specifications
• Report and memo writing
• Cost estimating
• Construction support through review of contractor shop drawings and submittals

Education

Job description

Creighton Manning, a GAI Company, is seeking a Junior Engineer (0-2 years of experience) to complement our existing engineering staff working on exciting bridge design and engineering projects in our Structures Group.

About This Position:

As a Junior Engineer, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer contributing to the team on a variety of bridge and structural engineering projects. Junior Engineers evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks under the general guidance of a Project Engineer or Project Manager on both large and small projects.

Responsibilities may include:

Job Requirements:

Hourly Pay Range:

Albany, NY, and Syracuse, NY: $36/hour - $39/hour

Poughkeepsie, NY: $36/hour - $41/hour

Westchester - White Plains, NY: $36/hour - $45/hour

Pay is based on applicant's certifications (EIT), skills, and prior experience and will be rated on this scale accordingly.
