Job summary

iO Associates is seeking a Structures Design Engineer for its VIP interior modification programmes in Indiana. This on-site role focuses on producing 2D/3D structural designs and installation docs for aircraft modifications and supporting certification activities.

The role requires 2+ years in aerospace structures or interiors, with AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience and familiarity with FAA-certified modification environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in aerospace structures and/or aircraft interiors and modifications.
• Exposure to FAA-certified modification environments; STC knowledge beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Responsibilities

• Producing 2D and 3D structural designs and installation documentation for VIP aircraft modification programmes.
• Supporting STC and Part 25 compliance activity alongside certification and engineering teams.
• Working cross functionally with structures, interiors, systems and production to deliver certifiable, buildable solutions.
• Supporting shop-floor issue resolution to keep build activity on track.

Structures Design Engineer, Business Aviation

On site, Indiana | $80,000 to $140,000 (DOE) + benefits | Full US work authorisation required

iO Associates are partnered with a leading aircraft completions organisation, to appoint a Structures Design Engineer for its growing operation, driven by continued demand across VIP interior modification programmes.

This is a production facing engineering role focused on structural design support across VIP interiors and certified aircraft modification activity, working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering and hangar teams.

You will be:

• Producing 2D and 3D structural designs and installation documentation for VIP aircraft modification programmes


• Supporting STC and Part 25 compliance activity alongside certification and engineering teams


• Working cross functionally with structures, interiors, systems and production to deliver certifiable, buildable solutions


• Supporting shop-floor issue resolution to keep build activity on track

You will need:

• 2+ years experience in aerospace structures and/or aircraft interiors and modifications


• AutoCAD experience in SolidWorks


• Exposure to FAA-certified modification environments, with STC knowledge beneficial.
