Job summary

Citi in New York is seeking a Structuring professional to optimize and grow the Fixed Income Prime Broker platform within Institutional Trading. You will work with Sales, Risk, Credit, Operations and Technology to enhance client service, drive growth, and manage risk.

The role requires 3–5 years of structuring experience, strong quantitative skills, and the ability to obtain the Series 7 and 63. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of structuring experience from a financial institution.
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
• Must be able to obtain the Series 7 and 63 license.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple functional groups cohesively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor risk mitigants and perform client portfolio analysis.
• Monitor client deposits and potential exposure on settlements.
• Provide intraday and end-of-day cash reporting.
• Partner with in-business risk and credit on client reviews.
• Support daily trading activity and resolve client issues with Middle Office.

As part of the Cash Prime Brokerage team, the individual will be responsible for optimizing, and facilitating growth for the Fixed Income Prime Broker product. The individual will work alongside Sales/Origination, In Business Risk, FRM, Credit, Operations, Technology and product partners to develop the platform, manage risk, win new client mandates, increase share of wallet, optimize financial resource, create new innovate solutions for our clients and advance the overall FIPB offering.

Responsibilities

• The individual will be responsible for helping accomplish the strategic goals of the fixed income platform. This includes monitoring key risk mitigants including New and existing client portfolio analysis, Client clearing deposits Monitoring potential exposure on future settlements, Intraday and end of day cash reporting, Partnering with in business risk and credit on client reviews
• Partner with Middle Office and Client Service teams to facilitate solutions for clients as it relates to daily trading activity, new markets, and resolve any client issues.

• Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
• Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
• Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
• Be familiar with and adhere to Citi's Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
• Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years structuring experience from a financial institution
• Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
• Must be able to obtain the Series 7, 63
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with multiple functional groups in a cohesive manner.
