Morningstar DBRS is seeking a Senior Analyst for Structured Finance Cash Flow Analytics in New York, Stamford, or Chicago. You will develop cash flow models, review legal documents, and analyze securitizations, working with ratings teams to present findings.

You will be expected to become an expert on securitization structures, engage with senior staff, and contribute to complex credit analysis in a global team with a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 2–3 years in Structured Finance, preferably with cash flow modeling.
  • Master’s degree is a plus; CFA level 1 is a plus.

  • Interpret and analyze transaction legal documents focusing on waterfall/structure for cash flows.

Job description

Structured Finance Cash Flow Analytics, Senior Analyst – New York Morningstar DBRS is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its Cash Flow Analytics group as a Senior Analyst in New York, Stamford, or Chicago. The Cash Flow Analytics team is a global team supporting Structured Finance. The team provides transaction-level cash flow support to the US ABS, US RMBS, US CMBS, US SC, European RMBS, European ABS and European NPL teams. Cash Flow Analytics sits within the Structured Finance Analytics team and directly supports ratings activity. This role will have a US focus, primarily covering Asset-Backed Securities (ABS). The candidate will work closely with the ratings teams to create, run, and analyze cash flows for a variety of securitizations. The candidate will be expected to become an expert on securitization structures, legal document review, and be able to present findings to senior staff.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain cash flow models in Intex Dealmaker, Python and other proprietary platforms.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze transaction legal documents, with a focus on waterfall and structural nuances necessary for building and running cash flows.
  • Assist with analysis to evaluate credit profile of securities.
  • Communicate analysis to senior staff and colleagues in Ratings Analyst teams, occasionally attending rating committees to present your findings.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in Structured Finance, preferably with direct cash flow modeling experience.
  • Self-starter and team player with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Completion of a Master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Completion of at least level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam is a plus.
  • Familiarity in using fixed income analytical software such as Intex (Dealmaker, Calc, Wrapper) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel/VBA functionality is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus.

Base Salary Compensation Range $90,000.00-$112,406.00 Incentive Target Percentage 15% Annual
