Job description

We are currently searching for motivated, hard working, reliable individuals to work in our Chantilly office. This is an entry to mid-level manual labor position. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate! The position is a project based position with more than likely full-time hours. Hours are subject to fluctuate throughout the year due to nature of industry. Overtime and weekend work is common throughout busy times. May work nights.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Label, pull, and terminate cable
  • Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent employer in a positive manner.
  • Follow established safety practices and procedures
  • Working with Lead Technician to schedule/update/complete projects
  • Work ALL hours per the Customers request for project timelines
Qualifications and Skills
  • The position of Installation requires the following attributes: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail and punctuality
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree
  • Possess a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver's license
  • Must pass background check
  • Experience using hand tools of the A/V and electronic related trades is a plus. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, wire strippers and crimpers for varying types of wire and cable, soldering tools/techniques, construction equipment such as scaffolding, hoists, pulleys, (concrete, brick & block) attachment devices, unistrut steel support, etc.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time
  • Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in high places and in small cramped places
  • Must be able to work in hot humid places as well as cold places
  • Must be able to maintain the following attributes while under pressure from deadlines: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail
  • Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach to all activities
