Job summary

Oshkosh Defense, a leading defense contractor, seeks skilled welders to set up, tack and weld ferrous and nonferrous materials. You will follow welding procedures, ensure high-quality welds, and inspect completed work to meet stringent codes and customer requirements.

Eligibility includes certification or 3–5 years of equivalent experience, with pay rates starting at $26.13 and rising to $32.91 hourly with a 2nd shift premium. Assistance for disabilities is available upon request.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to four years of high school plus technical training in welding.
• Requires the use of complicated drawings, welding symbols, shop mathematics, weld shop tools, protractors, scales, squares, calipers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tack and weld ferrous and nonferrous materials.
• Understand and utilize welding procedure specifications.
• Perform welding duties in compliance with welding codes and ensure aesthetic appearance of welds.
