Job summary

SI Utility designs and fabricates steel power delivery structures from Texas facilities, seeking a Structural Welder/Fitter. Work includes reading blueprints, assembling forms, and welding to AWS D1.1 standards for utility poles and related structures.

The role requires 1+ years of structural welding experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to operate flame-cutting and plasma-arc equipment. Full-time, on-site work with opportunities for growth is offered.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Able to follow AWS D1.1 and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Weld or bolt pieces to assemble structural forms for steel utility poles.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints to determine job requirements
• Inspect work and meet project specifications and quality standards
• Operate welding equipment and related tools safely and efficiently
• Support Quality Control to repair defects and pass inspections
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
