The primary role of this position includes but is not limited to fitting/fabricating/welding of ornamental steel and aluminum, independently and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Principal Responsibilities

• Maintaining a Philosophy of Continuous Improvement
• Willingness to learn new things
• Ability to layout structural steel members. WF's, HSS, Pipe, etc.
• SMAW Welding
• Must be able to interpret architectural and structural details from construction drawings
• Structural Steel Fabrication Experience
• 4 - 5 years Min. Experience
• Grinding, Sanding
• Working closely with all individuals in this department and as a team.
• Maintaining a focus on your internal customer (shipping.)
• Ensuring Crane Reports are filled out daily and turned in
• Helping to ensure that our processes flowchart is followed
• Encourage others to speak up and help their teammates towards success
• Always keeping Safety at the forefront and encouraging a safety minded culture
• Detail orientated and proficient with numbers and Blueprints
• Ability to problem solve and multi-task
• Ensuring that material is processed and delivered to our customers on time.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Dependable and demonstrated organization
• Lift and carry up to 75lbs for 25' - 0" unassisted
• Proficient with numbers and blueprints
• Lift and place above chest height up to 75lbs
• Ability to make decisions quickly and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Organized and highly detailed. Self-motivated.
• Must be able to work within a team setting and effectively communicate with multiple departments.
• Safety and OSHA compliant.
• Pass a post offer non D.O.T. physical and Musculoskeletal Assessment
• Pass a post offer non D.O.T. drug screen

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, work orders, and quality documents.
