Job summary

Epsilon Worker in Alabama is seeking an experienced welder to join a team focused on off-site construction. The role involves welding steel components using wire and stick welders, reading drawings, and following work orders to fabricate parts and rework finished products.

Candidates should have AWS D1.1 certification and a minimum of five years welding experience, with the ability to operate forklifts and a range of hand tools. Safety and punctuality are emphasized in daily duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding duties using a wire welder and stick welder
  • Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions
  • Work includes set-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products
  • Works and assists in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts
  • Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs
  • Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications
  • Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders
  • Inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment if any equipment needs repairs notify supervisor/lead or maintenance department
  • Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position

Epsilon Worker

Wages: $30 - 36.72 per hour based on experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform welding duties using a wire welder and stick welder

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Possess a suitable combination of education and experience to meet the requirements of this position
  • Must have AWS D 1.1 certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years welding experience is preferred
  • Familiar with a variety of welder concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams, read blueprints, and/or other printed instructional material in the welding of products or parts.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves, and gas cylinders.
  • Must be able to work with various hand tools and operate an industrial powered fork truck
  • Have a demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
  • Able to work independently or as a team player
  • Able to take direction and communicate with others
  • Have excellent time management skills, organized and detail oriented
  • Employs a friendly, outgoing personality, respectful of co-workers and ability to work with individuals to carry out goals of the organization
