Job summary

Tradesmen International, LLC is seeking experienced Structural Steel Welders/Fitters for projects in Orting, WA. This first-shift role pays $30-32/hour based on experience.

You will read fabrication drawings, lay out and cut steel, fit and weld assemblies, and ensure measurements meet tolerances while maintaining a safe work environment. Qualifications

• Must pass 3G and 4G weld tests.
• Experience fitting and fabricating structural steel.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Experience with FCAW welding.
• Experience using plasma cutters, beam cutting equipment, and standard fabrication tools.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work safely in a fabrication shop.
• WABO certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural steel fabrication drawings.
• Perform layout, measuring, marking, and material preparation.
• Cut structural steel using beam saws, plasma cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools.
• Verify dimensions and maintain fabrication tolerances.
• Fit and assemble beams, columns, plates, and structural steel components.
• Tack weld assemblies prior to final welding.
• Use clamps, fixtures, levels, squares, and measuring tools to ensure proper alignment.
• Work safely and efficiently in a structural steel fabrication environment.
• Produce quality structural welds that meet shop standards.
• Inspect completed work for quality and maintain a clean, organized work area.
