Tampa Tank - Florida Structural Steel, located in Gibsonton, is seeking skilled welders to produce high-quality groove and fillet welds. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience with FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW processes, and will be trained in multiple welding positions.

Qualifications

Job description

Essential Functions

• Produce acceptable groove welds on code and non-code work in flat, vertical, and horizontal positions using the FCAW process.
• Produce acceptable fillet welds on code and non-code work in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions, primarily using FCAW.
• Have at least three years of experience in GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW welding processes.
• Pass standard fillet break tests and bend tests on groove welds and be trained and certified in multiple positions and processes, including welding on fracture‑critical materials.
• Use grinders and other hand and power tools commonly employed in the welding industry.
• Work effectively in an open‑air environment during a variety of weather conditions.
• Perform a physically intensive job that requires extended standing, stooping, bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Report to work in a drug‑free state and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Maintain good hearing and vision for personal safety and the safety of those working nearby.
• Report to work on time and complete the entire shift.
• Exhibit safety values consistent with state and federal rules and regulations and adhere to the company’s safety policies.
• Work cohesively as part of a team and demonstrate an attitude that supports teamwork.
