JWC Steel Co., a Hartford-based fabricator, seeks a Structural Steel Tekla Detailer to join our Design & Technical Department. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on creating precise 3D Tekla models and shop drawings for fabrication and installation projects.

You will review drawings, resolve detailing challenges, and collaborate with engineers and fabrication teams to ensure timely, accurate outputs. Proficiency in Tekla Structures and 3+ years of detailing experience are expected; no degree

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in detailing or modeling, preferably with steel or miscellaneous metals.
• Proficient in Tekla Structures software (required).
• Strong understanding of mechanical and structural design principles.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset.
• No specific degree or certifications required—proven skill and reliability matter most.
