Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a Structural Steel Superintendent to lead field activities for utility-scale power generation projects, directing ironworkers and subcontractors to execute structural steel erection safely, on schedule, and within budget.

You will review drawings, coordinate crews, crane operations, and material deliveries, and collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical teams to ensure quality and turnover readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural steel construction experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in power generation, industrial, refinery, or heavy construction projects.
• CCGT or utility-scale power generation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all structural steel erection activities within assigned project areas.
• Supervise ironworkers, foremen, and structural steel subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project requirements.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, cranes, and material deliveries to support construction schedules.
• Oversee erection of structural steel, equipment supports, pipe racks, platforms, stair towers, and miscellaneous steel.
• Review drawings, specifications, erection plans, and lift plans to ensure proper execution.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate work with civil, mechanical, electrical, and project management teams.
• Support inspections, turnover activities, and punch list completion.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain construction documentation.

About this Role

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a Structural Steel Superintendent to be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all structural steel construction activities for utility-scale power generation projects, including Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) facilities. This role provides field leadership for ironworkers and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project quality standards.
