gpac is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Machine Operator to join its fabrication team. The ideal candidate will operate various automated and manual equipment in a structural steel environment and read shop drawings to meet project specs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating machinery in a structural steel fabrication shop required.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and measurements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate structural steel fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
• Set up and run equipment according to project specifications and production requirements.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, measurements, and fabrication details.
• Monitor machine operation and ensure finished products meet quality standards.
• Perform basic machine troubleshooting and adjustments as needed.
• Work closely with the fabrication team to maintain production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Assist with machine programming, setup, and optimization when qualified.
