Job summary

Workforce Solutions is partnering with an established structural steel company in Orange County to recruit an experienced Field Welder Foreman/Supervisor.

You will run welding crews on job sites across Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties, plan work, direct your team, and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. Candidates should have 5+ years of leadership in structural steel, a valid driver’s license, and be comfortable with overtime and frequent travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading welders in structural steel.
• Able to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Willing to work overtime and travel between job sites.
• Plan work, direct the team, and ensure quality on projects.
• Read and interpret drawings and technical specs.

Job description

Ready to take the lead in the field? We’re partnering with an established structural steel company in Orange County to find an experienced Field Welder Foreman/Supervisor to run its welding crews on job sites across Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties.

Plan the work, direct your team, read blueprints and weld symbols, and pick up the stinger yourself when the job calls for it. If you have 5+ years leading welders in structural steel, take pride in quality work, and are comfortable with overtime and regular travel between job sites, this is a strong opportunity to step into a stable, long-term role. A company vehicle may also be provided for qualified candidates

Field Welder Foreman/Supervisor in the structural steel industry.

For this position, candidates MUST be willing to work overtime and be able to travel.

Description:

• Supervise all welders and be able to perform the following duties.
• Plan details of work order procedures, assignments, and projects.
• Gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
• In-depth knowledge of structural steel processes, including fabrication, welding, installation, and repairs.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications for accurate execution of projects.
• Must be able to lead and direct other employees as well as perform on the job by example.

*Company vehicle may be provided upon approval and clearance of DMV.

Skills:

• Interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and drawings including weld symbols
• Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding techniques including designs, uses, maintenance, and repair
• Minimum (5) years in a similar industry as a lead, foreman or supervisor.
• Must be able to comprehend drawings and instructions.
• Current Valid Driver's License with clean record (no accidents, no ponts)
• AWS, or LA City Welding Certifications are a plus!
