Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Structural Steel Fabricator for a fabrication shop outside of the EBR area in Louisiana. This is an evaluation hire with a Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of welding experience, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with Stick and Flux welding in multiple positions. Welding certification is preferred and safety adherence is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow work orders.
• Ability to use a variety of tools including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders and welding torches.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience required.
• Welding certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and maintain structural systems composed of various materials.
• Consult blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to complete work per specifications.
• Use Stick and Flux welding on structural steel components in every position.
• Gather equipment and materials for the job.
• Comply with safety regulations, including OSHA.
• Maintain safety logs and inspection details.
• Assist with training of new hires.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for aStructural Steel Fabricatorfor a fabrication shop outside of the EBR area.This client is looking for a skilled Structural steel fabricator with verifiable long-term welding experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, prepares, and maintains structural systems composed of various materials
• Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to complete work based on specifications
• Use Stick and FLUX welding on Structural steel components in every position.
• Gathers equipment and materials for the job
• Complies with applicable safety regulations and best practices, including all OSHA regulations
• Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details
• Assists with training of new hires
• Performs other related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION NEEDED:

• Ability to follow work orders.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
