Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous demolition, construction, industrial, or mechanical experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Dismantle and remove structural steel components.
  • Cut, sort, stage, and prepare steel for loading and transport.
  • Assist with scrap removal and material handling activities.
  • Load structural steel and scrap materials into trailers or designated containers.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools required for demolition activities.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Follow company safety requirements and work procedures.
  • Participate in safety meetings and job briefings.
  • Complete required timekeeping and work documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
