Job summary

DW Steel in Omaha, NE is seeking a Rebar Detailer to join our engineering team. You will review drawings, prepare anchor bolts, erection, shop and assembly drawings, and resolve design discrepancies with focus on safety and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has strong math skills, attention to detail, and teamwork abilities; experience with detailing software and basic computing is preferred. The role includes 40-hour weeks with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Good conceptual abilities to read and understand structural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review contract drawings and specs for general and special requirements.
• Review estimate vs drawings, specifications, addenda.
• Produce anchor bolt, erection, assembly, and shop drawings for fabrication and erection.
• Resolve design nonconformances; consult Engineering Manager if needed.
• Document and maintain required project files.
• Learn detailing department functions and cross-functional collaboration.
• Perform other engineering duties as required.
